The beginnings of development of RTB go back to the 6th of May 1903. when near the village of Bor, the rich find of copper was discovered. Djordje Vajfert, industrialist from Belgrade was the first who started exploiting the new Copper Mines of Bor’s eruptive zones. Soon Mr.Vajfert found himself in financial problems, so he sold his rights of exploiting the Copper Mines of Bor to the French Stock Society. On June 1st 1904. French Stock Society of Bor’s Sopper Mine was founded, Societe General des Mines de Bor.

The beginnings of FOD today can be found in concept of centralized maintaining of RTB that was ones put together in central workshops. From this workshop electro-mechanical section was born and then factory of Equipment and Spare Parts Ltd.

In May 2008. with privatization ATB FOD becomes member of ATB Group who is one of the best known industrial holdings seated in Austria.

In March 2012 ATB Group becomes a part of chinese firm Wolong.
